Citation? The impact that the social networks have in our daily life is huge and some experts say that we have not even scratched the minimal potential of this technological resource, because we just use it as a past time method. A lot of companies around the world are starting to prefer all the advantages that the social networks have as a cheap but powerful way to promote their services or products around the world, because it is very common to see a lot of commercials and sponsors in different social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Goggle+ and many more. Taking into consideration that one of the most common types of user in this kind of social network is the teenager, we have not realized about the fact that using this kind of social networks can be a great way to transmit information and counselor to the students referring to the scholar or academic way. We, as English teachers, are always trying to develop or create new ways to transmit a specific knowledge to our students and, what will be better than teaching the students using a resource in which they are familiarized? Because some students don’t like the usual or common methods used to learn, teacher should use the social networks for the following reasons: The use of the social networks is a new way to be constantly in touch with the students, in order to clarify their doubts and check their progress and the use of a social approach have a lot of potential to be beneficial for the students because they can share their own ideas or thoughts and help each other.

The social networks, as a technological resource in the English language teaching (ELT), are a new and non-exploited field for the Second language teachers (SLT). The social networks are in constant evolution and development due all the characteristics that they have as a new way to communicate with other people (Young, J. 2010). Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumbler and many more bring to the user the opportunity to communicate with people around the world and keep in touch with their social groups in an easier way and, sometimes, even with their classmates and teachers in order to maintain a fluent communication channel among them. This sentence is a bit long. Break it down into two sentences. A SLT have to be aware that his new kind of social interaction pattern can be used with academic and scholar purposes if it is applied properly. The constant evolution of this social way of interaction provides the second language teacher with a new way to interact with the students.

The relationship between the teacher and the students is a very crucial part of the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The teacher has the responsibility to find out which would be the most suitable way to interact with the student in order to be in constant communication with them and be aware of the learning process outside the classroom (Young, J. 2010). Using social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are proving to be a great way for the teachers to be with the students all the time, in order to clarify doubts and check their progress outside the classroom (Prensky, M. 2001) Punctuation? Using the group features that some social networks sites have, the teacher could be with the students all the time, regardless the location or time. The social networks have a lot of technologic features that are widely known by the young people or, in their case, the students that seem to be the ones that are more suitable to work with all the characteristics of the social networks (Anderson, S. 1997). Follow the MEAL plan.

The background knowledge of teacher and students about the use and functions of social networks as an educational resource. Sentence fragment. The most common users of these social networks are generally teenager or young adults, users around the 18 to 24 years old, according to the studies and statistics retrieved from INEGI (2012) in Mexico. Just include the citation. The previous statement means that Try a different sentence connector. a number near to 18 millions of people are active users of the social networks. The SLT's are constantly struggling with the need of creating new ways to interact with the students that could be suitable and friendly with them, in terms of use and acceptance. The use of social networks would be an easy way to integrate the students in the learning process, due all previous knowledge that they may have using this kind of resources and websites.

We, as future second language teachers, have the responsibility to adapt our teaching techniques and methods to the background that our students have and that is constantly developing and changing. The social networks are becoming a common aspect of our daily life and our society is accepting it easily due all the benefits that they may have. They are a cheap, attractive and easy way to keep in touch with everybody in the world; they are proved to be very proficient way to promote anything, from a single product or thought to a new complete sociological idea. The limits and uses of these social networks as teaching and learning resources still remain unknown to us, but, we have the responsibility to take advantage of all the benefits that they may have for the benefit of our students. As a conclusion, I think that we have to take into account the interface and all the characteristics that the social networks are offering to us, in order to develop a new way to interact with our students even outside the classroom.
